The French Revolution saw the rise of intense political polarisation, with clashes between left-wing and right-wing factions leading to periods of violence and upheaval. Although the French Revolution ultimately resulted in the establishment of a republic and the abolition of the monarchy, the legacy of the left-right divide persisted beyond France, shaping the political discourse and ideologies of the modern era. The concepts of left-wing progressivism and right-wing conservatism continue to influence political debates and alignments across the globe.

But in some time communist/socialists called themselves the left wingers. They then labeled capitalists as right wingers. This is the stupidest idea ever. Communists/Socialists vs capitalists/industrialists has no connection to Left vs Right wing politics.
